Patricia Bayonne-Johnson

I was born in New Orleans and have been researching my family since 1999. I am the family historian for the maternal and paternal sides of my family and have organized reunions for both. I am a lifetime member and past 1st VP of the African American Genealogical Society of Northern California. Also member of National Genealogical Society, Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society, Creole Heritage Center, and past 1st VP and member of the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society.

In 2004, my family was planning the Hicks/Estes family reunion in New Orleans, I was in charge of family history.  I hired Judy Riffel to help me in my research of the my maternal grandfather, Nace Hicks and family in Maringouin, Louisiana. I sent her 10 documents for her evaluation and she noticed on the 1910 census the parents of  my great grandmother, Rachel Hicks, were born in Maryland.
